Flying Horses Carousel
Flying horses is the oldest operating platform carousel in the country with 22 horses with real horse hair tails. There is also a brass ring to catch for a free ride. It was built in1876 and moved from Coney Island, NY to Oak Bluffs in 1884. It is still housed in a red barn. Children have been enjoying this ride for over 130 years.
When my grand children are visiting on the island this is the very first place on their bucket list. Flying Horses is a National Landmark.
